Xero's Print button gives you one long PDF. Your customers, auditors and accountants want one file per invoice.

The usual afternoon

Select the invoices, press Print, get a 212-page PDF. Split it by hand, page counts vary, so the splitter gets it wrong. Rename every file by invoice number. Repeat next month. This has been on Xero's product ideas board since 2022.

With InvoicePack

Tick the invoices in a list that looks like Xero's. Press Download. Each invoice arrives as its own PDF with the right name, in one ZIP, optionally sorted into folders by month or by contact. A 50-invoice run takes about a minute.

How it works

  1. Connect to Xero

Sign in with your Xero account and choose an organisation. InvoicePack asks for read-only access to invoices, contacts and attachments. Disconnect any time, from the extension or from Xero's connected apps.

  2. Choose the invoices

Filter by status and date range, then tick what you need. Search the loaded list by invoice number, contact or reference. Draft, awaiting payment, paid: all of them, or only some.

  3. Download the ZIP

Pick a file name pattern (INV-0038.pdf, 2026-09-30_INV-0038.pdf, with or without the contact name), choose folders by month or contact, and include attachments if the invoices have any.

Questions

Where does my data go?

From Xero's API straight to your browser. There is no InvoicePack server: the extension talks to Xero directly, builds the ZIP on your computer, and saves it to your Downloads folder. We never see your invoices. Details in the privacy policy.

Does it change anything in Xero?

No. It only reads. It doesn't mark invoices as sent, doesn't email anyone, and asks Xero for read-only permissions.

Does it work with bills (purchase invoices) and credit notes?

Not yet. Sales invoices first. If you need bills or credit notes, say so by email and you'll be the first to know when they ship.

What about Xero's 500-invoice export limit?

InvoicePack doesn't use the export. It reads invoices through Xero's API page by page, so larger runs work. It downloads about one invoice per second to stay inside Xero's rate limits, so 300 invoices take around five minutes.

Which Xero plans and which computers?

Any Xero plan that can connect apps, in any country. Any Mac, Windows, Linux or ChromeOS computer running Chrome, Edge or Brave.

I have several organisations. Do I need several licenses?

Yes, one per organisation: that's how Xero charges developers for every connected organisation. Bookkeeping practices with many clients can ask for a practice plan by email.

Why does the trial ask for a card?

So the trial can be unlimited: you get the full product for 7 days instead of a crippled free version. You're not charged until the trial ends, Polar emails you three days before, and cancelling takes one click.
